I read a slogan the other day that read, The world wide web just got a whole lot world widier!
While this may make absolutely no sense, it made me start thinking...
Who are my readers? Where are you at? What do you do for a living? Where do your interests lie in agriculture and food production? Is there something you want to discuss on this blog? Do you have any interesting stories about the foods we eat and the farms that produce them?
Talk to me people! The world wide web is pretty darn huge, so let's be friends! Tell me your story...

I'm Robin, a farmer from Maine. We grow vegetables naturally (can't say organic, the gov't gets its panties bunched if I do) most of the year. We're fussy eaters - we want naturally grown, pastured, grass fed and grown locally. We can do that for the most part.
I'm enjoying your blog a lot.

I'm a dairy farmer from Arizona, milking about 5000 head. There's not enough good animal ag websites out there and I'm glad I found yours. Keep up the battle against the 'antis'!

Hey Matt! Thanks for stopping by! And yes, I think we can fight the same fight, even though we have different breeds! :)

Hi!
I'm Kalin, a senior (kind of!) ag business major/equine science minor. One of my senior ag classes is Ethical Issues in Sustainable Agriculture, where all the senior ag majors discuss various topics pertaining to modern agriculture, ethics and sustainability. We touch on many of the topics about which you post.
I hope to someday have, at the very least, my own acreage on which I can keep some show horses and a small Hereford cow/calf operation.

Kalin!
Hey what college are you from? I'm at South Dakota State University. Are you at a neighboring state? I'm curious. Your class sounds awesome. I would love to hear about some of the issues you guys address. Keep me informed and you and your classmates can join me for a discussion online! :)

Amanda,
I go to Truman State in MO.
We have some pretty interesting debates in class! CAFO's are a huge hot topic in Missouri right now. So is ethanol. We also get into discussions about everything from agrarianism to in-vitro meat production!

Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO's) is a pretty huge topic, and of course the ethanol debate trudges on...
I went to a debate on Thursday night titled Competition for Land: Conservation? Ethanol? Production?
Representatives from each interest created a pretty heated debate...
Go Truman!
