Amanda, first of all...that is so incredibly cool that you have taken Chewing the Cud to the radio, atta girl!! Secondly, women in agriculture really are hero's! I'm living with a woman this summer who not only holds a respectable career as an economic developer for Bedford, PA but she is also a dedicated herdswoman for their cow calf operation. Cattlewomen deserve a round of applause!

Thank you so much for your comment! I think it is so important to give credit where credit is due, and I have grown up around women who quietly work above and beyond what most people cannot even fathom accomplishing in a lifetime. There is no better way to grow up than on a ranch, and I thank my mom for being tough enough to show me you can be a great mother, a wonderful wife, have a successful career, and a prosperous farm. Heroes often sneak into our lives without us even realizing it, and it just took me 19 years to figure it out! Thanks again to working women in agriculture!
