Meatrix spreads lies about animal agriculture

Welcome to the Meatrix, a horrific place that depicts agriculture in an eerie light. Moopheus, the image of an FBI agent in the form of a cow, takes one pig and one chicken on a journey to see what "real" agriculture is like. The film depicts animal cruelty, poor housing, inhumane treatment to animals, and much more. How true is this? How credible is this silly cartoon? Well, to get to the meat of it all, this film also depicts a normal farm as being one huge pen filled with one cow, one horse, one chicken, one donkey, and one pig. When was the last time you saw a variety of livestock sharing one pen? Even Noah's ark matched them in twos. Simply stated, the Meatrix is a way to falsify this great livestock industry and give consumers a poor picture of our livelihood while encouraging farmers to move backwards in both technology and conventional farming methods.

The truth of the matter is, animal agriculturalists put an extreme emphasis on good animal husbandry practices. Producers care for their livestock and maintain a healthy herd through the practice of the Beef Quality Assurance Program (BQA). This educational program enables producers to maximize profitability and enhance the value of beef end products. BQA is a proactive program that encourages proper cattle handling practices to ensure animal safety and beef quality while upholding the tradition of American ranchers. Through BQA, producers can learn the latest techniques for producing safe, quality beef and preventing problems so that consumers can consistently have "a great beef experience every time."

A GREAT BEEF EXPERIENCE EVERY TIME.....isn't that what it's all about? Mmmmmm, anyway you slice it, beef is king. American ranchers soundly believe in stewardship of the land, and more importantly, animal husbandry. This inherited tradition of American ranching attempts to embrace changes in technology in production management practices to more effectively produce a safe, high quality product desired by domestic and foreign consumers. Everytime you sit down to enjoy a delicious beef meal, you are truly supporting caring American ranching families!
